Cohen & Company’s Advisory
Services Division is passionate about helping owners,
management teams and investors navigate business and transactional
environments. This Associate position would fall into our CFO
Solutions department within our Advisory Services division.
Our CFO Solutions team works closely with outsourced CFO clients and
high-net-worth families and individuals. You can expect something
different when working with our team. We don’t view advisory as
one-off projects, but rather a long-term relationship to help our
clients be successful. Our department is currently in a growth stage,
and there are many opportunities to participate in the development of
the department. Our seasoned associates, who will be your teammates,
have expertise across industries and functional domains, and their
experience, insights and tools can help you learn and grow throughout

We are very excited about our growth opportunities and are seeking an
Associate with an entrepreneurial energy and
commitment to client service to join our CFO Solutions team in
Cleveland! If you have internal accounting experience and are
looking to move into a client-facing role, this could be for you!
This opportunity would be primarily servicing our Real Estate
clients and may have exposure to Private Equity and other clients as
well. Prior experience in the real estate industry is a plus!
- Preparation and review of payables associated with client
operations, charitable foundation, and trust activities
- Perform monthly reconciliations to bank statements and other
relevant source documents
- Monitor daily, weekly cash positions for various accounts and
ensure adequate funding
- Monitor and record credit card and petty cash transactions
- Review expense classifications for reasonableness
- Reconcile and settle accounts between related client entities
- Prepare, review and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual
financial statements and supporting workpapers in accordance with US
GAAP, and other bases of accounting
- Communicate exceptions to supervisors, managers, and department
head as applicable
