We are excited for the future and our continued growth! Our Technology Services team is again seeking talented individuals in the role of Application Administrator. This position will reside in our Ohio locations: Cleveland or Akron. There will be some travel to other office locations or for training (< 5%).

The Application Administrator will be a member of the Development Services team administering our STAR PDM Practice Management system. Opportunities may exist for the Application Administrator to manage other mission critical systems used by the firm and our clients over time based on capacity and need. The Application Administrator will work closely with Product Management, business leaders and subject matter experts to define and refine functionality within the application that meets business needs and goals. Using an agile framework, the ideal candidate will work closely with teammates within Technology Services as well as other team members from across the company to maintain and enhance these applications. This covers all areas of the software development lifecycle including requirement analysis, design, implementation (configuration/coding), integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage mission critical applications
  • Configure, manage, and support related automated processes and routines (Jobs, loads, reports, etc.)
  • Perform data maintenance and update tasks via SQL to support existing processes and software functionality
  • Manage user permissions and application security, in line with firm best practices
  • Document, maintain, support, and extend existing applications
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, business leaders and key subject matter experts to identify and prioritize business functionality
  • Plan and execute software upgrades in coordination with Product Owners and other Technology Services team members
  • Research and recommend solutions to fit business needs
  • Actively participate in team activities and knowledge sharing, including scrum ceremonies
  • Actively participate in definition and refinement of team processes and activities
  • Collaborate with other Technology Services team members, Product Owners, and key business stakeholders to achieve business objectives
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with all members of the team (PO, BA, QA, Developer)
  • Coordinate with other Technology Services team members and with vendor support/consulting to assure application availability and quickly resolve issues
  • Participate in Vendor User Groups

Experience and Skills:

Core Competencies

  • Application Management or significant power user experience
    • Experience managing software via the software interface (Desktop/Web)
    • Experience configuring or customizing applications to meet business needs
    • Experience with STAR PDM Practice Management or STAR PM Web a plus
  • RDBMS analysis or support experience
    • SQL (basic to intermediate ability)
    • T-SQL (ability to comprehend)
  • Some exposure to the following technologies would be preferred.
    • SSRS Reports
    • Crystal Reports
  • Experience with Other Tools/Technologies a plus
    • SQL Studio Management Studio or similar
    • Codeless Platforms or TaskCentre process automation software, or similar
    • Jira or similar (Azure DevOps/Rally)
    • Salesforce
    • Netsuite
    • IIS
    • JavaScript/or basic coding experience

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience
